Job requirements

A strong working knowledge of the independent regulated financial services market

A technical background to facilitate drafting of client facing reports

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and IT literate

Database and client management

Ability to build strong working report with clients and professional connections

Candidates must be Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent)

Two years experience working in a paraplanner role

Willing to demonstrate a level of ongoing CPD to maintain and grow competency

Research into products and services ensuring that our clients have the best “whole of market advice” made available to them when they need it.

Ensure that all compliance procedures relevant to your area of expertise are in place and adhered to by colleagues, highlighting any areas which need attention as soon as practicable.

Pass details relating to producing invoices for clients to the Office Manager ready for typing ensuring their accuracy and compliance with FSA guidelines.

To research suitable products based on client(s) circumstances and requirements in order to allow an adviser to make a recommendation within both an Independent and Restricted proposition. Also to provide the adviser with evidence of research using the company’s chosen software and via any other relevant sources of information i.e. fund information, pension comparison, exchange comparison.

Obtain personal illustrations, key features document, application forms and any other relevant information to aid the sign up of business. Provide a complete audit trail from the software system to justify product selection.

Offer research services to advisers for specialist cases where the client may have niche requirements that are unusual i.e. Health, Tax etc.

Prepare the draft recommendation report for sign off by the adviser.
